Solwazi Olusola was recently honored for his work in photography by the Malcolm X Commemoration Committee and a few other community groups.
Solwazi continues to serve in his community everyday as an educator and advocate for all things African.
He has been a photographer for 14 years in total, 11 years professionally.
He has traveled to the following countries/territories: Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Egypt, Tanzania, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Aruba, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Guatemala.
Solwazi has done photography for the State Senator Kevin Parker and Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo.
He earned a BA degree in Africana Studies from the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State).
