The Light Skinned vs. Dark Skinned Women Debate: An Ongoing Argument

Updated: Feb 3

First and foremost, let us delve into the notion that men have a unanimous preference for light-skinned women. Apparently, men are so shallow that they base their attraction solely on the color of a woman's skin. How fortunate for us women to have our worth determined by such a superficial criterion! It is truly a blessing to know that our intelligence, personality, and accomplishments pale in comparison to the shade of our skin. Who needs self-confidence when you can simply rely on the approval of men?

Moreover, it is fascinating to observe how men's preferences are seemingly universal and unchanging. Throughout history, men have consistently preferred light-skinned women, regardless of cultural, geographical, or historical context. It is as if men possess an innate ability to transcend time and space, maintaining their unwavering preference for lighter skin tones. How remarkable!

Let us not forget the countless scientific studies that have been conducted to support this argument. These studies, conducted by highly reputable institutions, have undoubtedly proven that light-skinned women possess an inherent superiority over their dark-skinned counterparts. The scientific community has dedicated years of research to uncover the secrets behind men's preferences, and their findings have been nothing short of groundbreaking. Or perhaps, just maybe, these studies are a reflection of societal biases and the perpetuation of harmful beauty standards.

Furthermore, it is crucial to acknowledge the impact of media and advertising on shaping men's preferences. The media, with its impeccable track record of promoting diversity and inclusivity, has undoubtedly played a significant role in perpetuating the preference for light-skinned women. From commercials to movies, the message is clear: light-skinned women are the epitome of beauty, while dark-skinned women are merely an afterthought. How fortunate we are to have such a fair and balanced representation of beauty in the media!

The light-skinned versus dark-skinned women debate is a topic that should be approached with sarcasm and irony. Men's preferences should never be the basis for determining a woman's worth, as beauty comes in all shades. It is essential to challenge societal norms and embrace the diversity that exists within our communities. Let us celebrate the beauty of all women, regardless of their skin tone, and reject the notion that one shade is superior to another. After all, true beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, not in the confines of societal expectations.

As a black woman, I don't judge books by their cover. I read it first. If I'm not feeling the first page, then that would be my dealbreaker. It has nothing to do with their skin and more to do with their perspective on life. I am not saying that I don't want a cutie, I just want someone who has a brain. A cute brain. Until next time.

Oh by the way I'm a dark Skinned woman and l love the skin I'm in whether they want me or not. Whoever THEY are. Lol.

What are your thoughts on this topic? I want to know.
